Frequently Asked Questions
General
What is WagerWatchdog?
WagerWatchdog is a platform that automatically tracks, scores, and ranks sports betting handicappers. We monitor picks from Discord servers and Twitter accounts, verify them against actual game results, and provide transparent performance data.
Is WagerWatchdog a sportsbook or a place to make bets?
No. WagerWatchdog does not accept bets or handle money. We are a data and analytics platform that helps you evaluate handicapper performance. Any betting decisions you make are your own.
Which sports do you cover?
We currently track picks for NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, College Football, College Basketball, and College Baseball. We're always expanding our coverage.
How often is data updated?
Picks are captured in near real-time as they're posted. Scoring happens automatically once games are completed and official stats are published, usually within a few hours of the game ending.
Scores and Ratings
How is win percentage calculated?
Win percentage = (Wins Γ· (Wins + Losses)) Γ 100. Pushes are excluded from the calculation.
Why does a handicapper have a different record than what I see on their Discord?
WagerWatchdog scores picks objectively and consistently using official game statistics. Some handicappers may self-report different numbers, count picks differently, or not track pushes. Our data is unbiased and automated.
What counts as a "pick"?
A pick is a specific, verifiable prediction with a clear player/team, stat category, direction (over/under), and value. General commentary like "I like the Lakers tonight" is not captured as a pick unless it includes specific, scoreable criteria.
How do you handle deleted or edited picks?
Once we capture a pick, it's in the system permanently. We capture picks in real time, so if a handicapper deletes or edits a pick after posting, the original prediction is still tracked.
Sources and Handicappers
How many sources do you track?
We monitor hundreds of Discord servers and Twitter accounts. The exact number is always growing. Check the Sources page for the current list.
Can I request that you track a specific handicapper?
Yes! Use the Request Expert feature in the sidebar to submit a request. Our team reviews all submissions and adds qualifying sources as quickly as possible.
Is my favorite Discord server tracked?
Check the Sources page and search for it. If it's not there, submit a request and we'll review it.
Account and Billing
What's included in the free plan?
The free plan includes access to all leaderboards, total ratings, sport-specific ratings, parlay ratings, bettor profiles, source browsing, exports, and the follow system with My Feed.
What does Pro add?
Pro unlocks Hot Picks (trending picks from top handicappers) and Analytics (category breakdowns, performance charts, and filtering).
What does Enterprise add?
Enterprise includes everything in Pro, plus Open Picks (real-time pending picks), scored picks by author, enterprise-only CSV exports (open picks and scored picks), and full API access for programmatic data retrieval. This is ideal for data analysts, researchers, and businesses building on top of our data.

How do I get an API key?
